Conflict Diamonds
All precious diamonds have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict and in compliance with United Nations resolutions. We guarantee that our diamonds are conflict free based on personal knowledge and written guarantees provided by the supplier of our diamonds.
A conflict diamond, blood diamond, dirty diamond or war diamond, is a diamond mined in a war zone and sold usually clandestinely, in order to finance an insurgent, invading army’s efforts or for war-lord activity. Buying only from FJMI Jewellery manufacturers we can guarantee our clients that our diamonds are conflict free. The FJMI code of ethics insists on the sale of conflict-free diamonds.
‘I personally guarantee that every Precious diamond has been ethically mined. We comply with all United Nations resolutions, the Kimberley Process and Patriot Act.
Giving customers full and transparent information is at the heart of Precious.
We fully support all efforts by diamond cutters and the media to raise
awareness and influence behaviour. If you want to find out more about the issues, go to: diamondfacts.org/conflict‘
